Canada’s Brady Leman wins silver medal at FIS ski cross World Cup

TELLURIDE, Colo. – Brady Leman is the first Canadian to reach the World Cup ski cross podium this season.

The 26-year-old Calgary skier won a silver medal in today’s men’s final at the Telluride Ski Resort.

Filip Flisar of Slovenia won gold in a photo finish.

Reigning world champion Kelsey Serwa of Kelowna, B.C., was fourth in the women’s final while Marielle Thompson of Whistler, B.C., was eighth.

Canada was shut out of the medals at the World Cup opener in Nakiska, Alta., last weekend.

The next stop on the ski cross World Cup circuit is set for next week in Val Thorens, France.
