Miller aims to bring stability to national men’s team in role as interim coach
TORONTO – Colin Miller says his goal as interim Canadian soccer coach will be to give the men’s program some stability after a humiliating loss in Honduras.
The former Canadian international, who is FC Edmonton’s head coach, will lead Canada in friendlies later this month against Denmark and the U.S.
Miller will take charge of the team while the Canadian Soccer Association continues its search for a replacement for Stephen Hart, who stepped down after the 8-1 loss in Honduras in October.
As present, his tenure is just for the two January games.
He plans to take a younger Canadian squad to the two friendlies in the U.S.
Miller also served as interim coach in 2003, bridging the gap between Holger Osieck and Frank Yallop.
