Canucks GM Mike Gillis says moving goaltender Cory Schneider an option
NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – The Vancouver Canucks are plenty busy in the trade market as the NHL draft approaches, and both of their goaltenders are in play.
General manager Mike Gillis said other teams have called about Cory Schneider. It’s been well-known that the Canucks are trying to trade Roberto Luongo.
As the younger goalie with the more affordable contract, Schneider did not figure to be on the block. But Gillis said he has to listen to offers when they’re made.
Gillis was not forthcoming about how much interest there was in Schneider or how likely it was that he would trade one of his goalies this weekend.
