B.C. coroner announces names of three killed in separate long-weekend accidents
VICTORIA – The BC Coroners Service has announced the names of three people who died in separate incidents over the Canada Day long weekend.
Twenty-three-year-old Richard Martin of Tumbler Ridge has been identified as the victim of an ATV accident near that community on June 30.
On the same day, 16-year-old Marcos Lara was swept over Granite Falls on Indian Arm north of Vancouver.
The teen was an exchange student from Mexico and had been in B.C. for about a year.
A man who died in a single vehicle crash Near Riske Creek in the Interior has been identified as 25-year-old Tyson Tenale of Williams Lake.
The coroner says Tenale was killed when the Chevy four-by-four he was driving rolled over.
