VICTORIA – Victoria police hope the public will chime in with clues as officers try to locate an antique wall clock taken during a robbery in the capital city.
Officers were called Thursday afternoon to a neighbourhood just east of Victoria’s downtown core.
A 75-year-old woman reported her home had been broken into, and the beloved clock was gone.
Investigators say the unique timepiece was handmade in England in 1876 and has tremendous sentimental value to its owner.
They are hoping someone has information about the key-wound, wooden clock with a large face of roman numerals and a visible regulator weight hanging in the centre of its ornately carved body.
Anyone who has seen the clock or has information about the break-in is asked to call Crimestoppers or Victoria Police.
