WHITBY, Ont. – Canadian hurdler Priscilla Lopes-Schliep has given birth to a baby girl.
Jaslene Eva, who weighed nine pounds and nine ounces at birth, is the second child for the 2008 Olympic bronze medallist and husband Bronsen Schliep.
The former world No. 1-ranked hurdler has said she has no intention of retiring and hopes to get back in shape for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
She has done it before. After her first daughter Nataliya was born, she rebounded and ran Canada’s fastest time in the 100-metre hurdles in the 2012 season.
