Hall at Calif. university on lockdown over report of gunman

SAN JOSE, Calif. – A building at California State University, San Jose is on lockdown, as authorities investigate a report of a gunman.

University spokeswoman Pat Lopes Harris says authorities received the report around 9 a.m. Thursday. She says there are no reports of injuries.

There are students and faculty inside Sweeney Hall and police were sweeping the building around 10:30 a.m. The rest of campus remains open.

Additional details were not immediately available.
