CALGARY – Sang-Hwa Lee of South Korea broke her own record in the 500 metres in long-track speedskating Saturday.
Lee’s time of 36.74 seconds at the Olympic Oval in Calgary erased the previous mark of 36.80 she’d set in Calgary on Jan. 20.
The 24-year-old from Seoul won her second 500 metres in as many days at the season-opening World Cup.
Lee’s winning time on Friday was 36.91 seconds.
