U.S. ski coach pleads not guilty to child pornography charges

VERNON – A U.S. ski coach has pleaded not guilty to secretly filming his female pupils in their room at Silver Star Mountain Resort.

Jason Paur, 43, was denied bail last week and pleaded not guilty to child pornography and voyeurism charges in Vernon Provincial Court today.

He has been in custody at Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre since his arrest Dec.10.

Following his arrest in B.C., U.S. federal agents searched his Washington State home and seized several videotapes involving students.

Paur was a ski coach at The Bush School in Seattle and also did some freelance writing. He was on a ski trip organized by the school when the students discovered the camera.
