NORTH VANCOUVER — A North Vancouver man has been charged with 10 sexual offences in relation to complaints made against him while coaching a local volleyball team.
North Vancouver RCMP say the BC Prosecution Service formally charged Iraj Mozaffari with three counts of sexual interference of a person under 16, two counts of touching a young person for sexual purpose and five counts of sexual assault.
Police arrested the coach in April 2025 following complaints made in December 2024 alleging that multiple youths had been sexually assaulted while part of a volleyball team.
Police say the offences happened between January 2016 and December 2024.
A publication ban is in place to protect the identities of the victims.
Police thanked those who came forward to provide statements, and encouraged anyone who may be a victim to reach out for support.
