VERNON – A man’s body was discovered this morning on a trail near Clarence Fulton Secondary School.
RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says someone out for a walk found the body this morning around 9:30 a.m. just off the Nka-kul-kem trail system in the 5600 block of Okanagan Avenue.
Molendyk says the body doesn’t appear to have been there long, likely since last night. It has been identified as that of a 36-year-old man but his name won't be released until next of kin are notified.
“There is nothing right now that would indicate why the person died,” Molendyk says.
Police and the coroner were on the scene earlier today and they continue to investigate. An autopsy is expected to be conducted in the next few days to assist in the investigation.
