Kelowna RCMP search for armed robbery suspect
Mounties are searching for the man who robbed a Kelowna store Monday night.
On April 5, around 9:30 p.m., Kelowna RCMP responded to reports of a robbery on the 2400-block of Highway 97 North, according to an RCMP press release.
The suspect revealed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from the store employee, Kelowna RCMP said in a press release.
After a thorough search of the area, RCMP said the suspect could not be located.
There were no injuries during the alleged robbery, but Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said the worker was "extremely shaken" by the incident.
Police are now asking the public to come forward with any information relating to the robbery.
He's described as a Caucasian man with a thin build, around five-foot-10. He was wearing a dark toque, sunglasses and a red bandana over his face. The suspect was also wearing a red and black plaid shirt at the time.
