One of two COVID outbreaks at Kelowna General declared over
One of two COVID-19 outbreaks at Kelowna General Hospital has been declared over by Interior Health.
The outbreak, which involved 10 cases including five patients and five staff as well as two deaths, took place in Unit 5B at Kelowna General Hospital.
A separate outbreak in Unit 4E at the hospital currently has two cases: one patient and one staff member, according to Interior Health.
"Our team continues to work hard at containing the outbreak on 4E,” Interior Health CEO Susan Brown said a media release.
Kelowna General remains safe to attend for appointment and emergency care, Interior Health said. Scheduled procedures can continue and self-isolation or COVID-19 testing is not required after visiting the hospital.
