TRENDING NOW: Amazing drone display pays tribute to first human in space

Drones lit up the night sky in Russia this week as part of a tribute to Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who was the first human in space 60 years ago.

Gagarin’s pioneering 108-minute space flight on April 12, 1961 would have ended in disaster, and his death, several times if it not for his quiet composure under pressure.

He was killed in a training jet crash in 1968 at the age of 34.
