
Deadly COVID-19 outbreak at Vernon Jubilee Hospital declared over
The COVID-19 outbreak at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, which claimed three lives, is over.
The outbreak in the Level 3 surgical unit at the Vernon hospital was declared on March 30, and today, April 16, Interior Health said in a media release it was over.
Three people died during the outbreak, while four staff members and 10 patients were infected.
The surgical unit is now open and admitting patients, IH said, and essential patient visits can resume.
