Pedestrian hit on highway

KELOWNA – A man was questioned by police Tuesday morning after the vehicle he was driving struck a pedestrian on Harvey Ave.

According to a report by Global Okanagan, witnesses say the woman was injured near the Gordon Dr. intersection.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and spoke with police while the woman was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Traffic was diverted around the area for approximately 30 minutes.
