
Grassfire sparked off Coquihalla in Merritt
A grassfire in Merritt has started near the Coquihalla Highway this afternoon.
Emergency crews are on the scene, but it's too early to determine what caused the blaze.
B.C. Wildfire has estimated the fire to be 0.01 hectares in its last update.
Social media posts say emergency crews have reduced northbound traffic to one lane as they work at the scene.
Merritt Fire Rescue could not respond immediately to comment.
