A man injured while climbing at Skaha Bluffs had to be airlifted to hospital yesterday.

Penticton Search and Rescue said today, the man injured his lower leg and was flown out at 3:30 p.m. yesterday, May 10, to Penticton Regional Hospital, according to a PENSAR media release. There was no indication of what caused the injury or his status since taken to hospital. 

Penticton Fire Department was first on scene and tended to the patient but the terrain required an airlift so 17 members of PENSAR used the Human External Transport System (HETS) helicopter to lift him out.
