Three arrests made in downtown Kamloops for mischief

Kamloops RCMP responded to a call about three men on Columbia Street and Battle Street were going through vehicles and into backyards on May 8, around 11 a.m.

All three men were arrested after police located two suspects, then the third was pointed out by a nearby witness, according to an RCMP media release.

Kamloops resident Tristan Fernandez, 24, is facing multiple charges including mischief, for allegedly breaking a vehicle window and smashing the ignition lock. Another charge is for possession of a knife, a violation of a previous probation order.

Fernandez is scheduled for court on May 17.

Police say a second suspect is currently being held on warrants related to a separate file, and a third man was released with a court date as his charges are waiting for approval.

Anyone with information related to this file can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-14891.
