Kelowna gas prices climbing

KELOWNA – If you’re from Kelowna but driving through West Kelowna or Lake Country today, you might want to consider filling up your gas tank.

According to bcgasprices.com, the average price per litre of regular gas at most Kelowna stations has gone up to 115.9 recently. That’s around 8 cents more than the national average of 107.7 but still less than the provincial average of 119.3.

Some stations in Lake Country, like the Husky near Lodge Rd. and Race Trac on Woodsdale Rd. are selling at 108.9 and as of 10 a.m. Wednesday the Husky on Old Okanagan Hwy near Grizzly Rd. in West Kelowna is selling at 109.9.

The average price in Vancouver is 129.9 per litre however Williams Lake and Prince George stations are still below a dollar at 99.9.

  1. Oil price at $51.00 per barrel or $101.00 per barrel doesn’t seem to matter. Pump price still over 1.10 per litre. Seems like we are being ripped off. Is. There a reasonable explanation for this as we seem to hear a new excuse every time the price goes up. BTW Kelowna gasoline prices dragged when oil prices were dropping but when the price of crude creeps up no time is wasted in jacking up pump prices.
