Hotel Eldorado sold

KELOWNA – The iconic Hotel Eldorado has been sold but previous owner Jim Nixon says nothing is going to change.

Nixon made the announcement and informed staff Tuesday, saying it was a hard decision.

The hotel, restaurant and marina has been under the same ownership for 25 years, and Nixon says he was not planning on selling but changed his mind when the right offer came along.

Argus Properties, a real estate development company headquartered in Kelowna, purchased the resort for an undisclosed amount.

“We wanted to make sure we had the right buyer and we’ve done that,” Nixon says. “Nothing is going to change."
