PRINCETON — The man involved in last week’s stabbing outside a Dairy Queen restaurant in Princeton has been charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

RCMP identified the man as 52-year-old James Buhler, who tried to slit his own throat after stabbing two women outside the fast food joint. Police arrived on the scene before Buhler could cause any more harm. He was taken to Kelowna Regional Hospital and remains in police custody while continuing to receive medical attention.

The two female victims were taken to Penticton Regional Hospital where they underwent surgeries for their knife wounds. Both have been released from hospital but continue to receive medical attention.
