Getting busted didn’t slow down this accused Kelowna criminal

A 32-year-old Kelowna man was released by RCMP earlier this month after being arrested in a stolen vehicle where he also had weapons and drugs.

A week later, the same man was arrested again in a stolen vehicle where he had weapons and drugs.

As of today, June 30, Bryce Williamson is still in custody, according to a Kelowna RCMP news release.

The first arrest came on June 8 after police received tips about a suspicious truck in the Big White and East Kelowna areas.

With the assistance of an RCMP aircraft the truck, which had been stolen three days earlier from the Glenmore area, was followed onto the Myra Forest Service Road where the three occupants were arrested, RCMP said.

A gun, weapons, suspected drugs and stolen property were also seized and Williamson was charged with things like possession of stolen property, possession of drugs and violation of court orders, according to police.

He was released pending a future court hearing.

A week later, on June 15, police spotted a Ford F350 at a convenience store in the 2200-block of Boucherie Road in West Kelowna, RCMP said. It had been reported stolen from Summerland earlier in the day.

Williamson, who was the driver, was seen entering the store and arrested.

A search of the suspect and the truck found suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, various weapons and break-in instruments.

Williamson is facing further charges.
