S.S. Sicamous brings book lovers to Okanagan Lake with Bookish Market

Penticton’s iconic S.S. Sicamous is opening its doors to locals for a unique book sale happening this Sunday. Running from 10 am to 3 pm, residents are invited to come and meet local authors, attend a book swap, see some local vendors, and even purchase a flash tattoo from two tattoo artists who will be set up inside. The event is being put on by The Collective Markets, and one you won’t want to miss.

Entry to the event is only $5, with kids under 12 entering free, with proceeds going towards the For the Love of Local Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting local businesses. Spend the day on the ship with other book lovers and enjoy some shopping, meeting some of the authors, and learning more about their work. Other artists and small businesses will be there with treats, snacks, and a fun lineup of things to try.
