Local art, an afternoon tea buffet and a live auction will come together in Kamloops next month as Kamloops Artists Vortex hosts a fundraiser supporting the Interior Women’s Centre Society.
The Tea & Art event will give guests an opportunity to discover work by local artists while taking part in an afternoon designed to connect creativity with community support. The program includes an art sale, live art auction, demonstrations, a silent auction, local short films and several opportunities to win prizes.
Artists featured at the event include Roxi Hermsen, Isabelle Faulkner, Rebecca Shepherd, Braja Levine and Sarah Hope. Their work will be part of an afternoon that gives attendees a chance to see local creativity in action, rather than simply viewing finished pieces in a gallery.
Live demonstrations will offer visitors a closer look at the artistic process, while the auctions will give them an opportunity to take part in the fundraising effort. The event will also feature an afternoon tea buffet, adding a social element to the gathering.

The fundraiser is organized by Kamloops Artists Vortex, which is bringing together art and community involvement to support the Interior Women’s Centre Society. The organization works to advance the safety, well-being, leadership and equity of women and gender-diverse people across the B.C. Interior.
Along with ticket proceeds, donations of women’s toiletries will be accepted at the door. The collection offers another way for attendees to contribute to the cause while participating in the event.
Ryan from Kamloops will serve as emcee and auctioneer, guiding guests through the program. The mix of art, food and fundraising is intended to make the afternoon an opportunity for residents to connect with local artists while supporting a community organization.
Tea & Art takes place Sunday, November 1, from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Delta Hotel, 540 Victoria St. Tickets cost $50.
More information and ticket details are available through the Tourism Kamloops event listing.
