Vernon drug dealers busted; silenced handgun seized

Two Vernon men were arrested last week on a number of drug and weapons offences as RCMP cracked down on what it calls a “drug trafficking group.”

Officers from the Vernon detachment’s Targeted Policing Section simultaneously raided a home in the 3500 block of 17 Avenue and another in the 1900 block of 33 Street on June 30, according to an RCMP media release.

Fentanyl, crack cocaine and cash were seized, along with a handgun with a silencer.

Two Vernon men, aged 27 and 24, were arrested for drug and weapons offences.

RCMP say the two men were supplying street level drug dealers.
