UPDATE: Kamloops firefighters battling heritage house blaze

Kamloops firefighters are battling a heritage house fire in downtown Kamloops this afternoon.

The fire broke out at around 2 p.m. today, July 9, at a house at 1214 Columbia Street in Kamloops.

Smoke could be seen for kilometres. At one point flames could be seen shooting from the roof.

No word yet if anyone has been hurt. It looks like the house suffered extensive damage.
