Kelowna’s Gospel Mission makes strides to end homelessness

KELOWNA – Join us on Saturday, March 7 at Kelowna's Gospel Mission as we walk with those we serve and, together, we will take Strides to End Homelessness. A delicious meal of hot chili and special treats will be served after the walk in our expanded dining/classroom space.

With Kelowna’s help, our goal this year is to raise $25,000 to start our new Men’s Program. We are grateful to our presenting sponsor, Wishbone Site Furnishings as well as sponsors, Brax Construction, Mission Law Group, Extra Foods and MCC thrift store for making this walk possible. The program will enable us to provide classes on job training, basic financial literacy, art therapy and recovery preparation.

“I invite everyone to walk with us including those we serve so, together, we will be a step closer to ending homelessness," executive director Randy Benson says. "This is our fourth fundraising walk and it gets bigger every year. People get very excited to see that they are making a difference and helping those in need to get back on their feet.”

Kelowna’s Gospel Mission’s 4th annual fundraising walk is being held at our emergency shelter at 259 Leon Ave. 

Registration starts at 4 p.m. with the walk beginning at 5 p.m.
