Pellet gun seized, man arrested after firearm report in downtown Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP have seized a pellet gun after a man pointed what looked like a firearm at another person.

A man on the 400 block of Lansdowne Street pulled a firearm from a backpack and pointed it at another person, according to an RCMP press release.

Police responded to the area around 12:40 p.m., July 22, and took one man into custody.

Officers also briefly detained another man, but he was later released at the scene.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
