People’s Party leader Maxime Bernier making campaign stops in Okanagan
Maxime Bernier, the leader of the People’s Party of Canada, is making two stops in the Okanagan on Sunday.
First up is a rally in Penticton’s Gyro Park at the band shell from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sept. 5. Then he’s heading to Kelowna’s Stuart Park for a rally from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
“Mr. Bernier will be speaking about the principles of the People’s Party of Canada and holding a meet and greet with supporters and the public,” states a news release from the party’s Kelowna-Lake Country riding association.
The party is running candidates in all Okanagan and Kamloops ridings.
In the 2019 election, the party got about two per cent of the vote in Okanagan and Kamloops.
