
UPDATE: RCMP investigating suspicious death of woman in Kelowna
The Kelowna RCMP are investigating a suspicious death after the body of a woman was found this morning.
Police officers was called to the intersection of Highway 33 and Nickel Road just after 7 a.m. this morning, Sept. 19.
"When officers arrived they located the body of a deceased woman whose death is believed to be suspicious," said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP, in a press release.
“Investigators from the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit have taken conduct of the investigation. Officers remain on scene collecting physical evidence and canvassing for witnesses and surveillance video.”
A section of sidewalk has been taped off by the police and a coroner and K9 unit were also on scene.
