Jury selection begins for murder trial

VERNON – Jury selection begins today for Matthew Foerster’s murder trial.

Foerster is charged with the murder of Armstrong teen Taylor Van Diest on Halloween night 2011.

He will be tried in B.C. Supreme Court in Kelowna over several weeks. The trial opened two weeks ago with legal arguments before a judge alone.

The victim’s mother, Marie Van Diest, plans to attend all the court proceedings.
