Barry Scully has been capturing photos of the Vaseux Lake bighorn sheep population this fall, and the results are stunning.

Scully will be back to try to capture more action this rutting season and warns other keen nature enthusiasts who want to observe the rams to keep their distance and be very careful.

Scully said even though this group seemed relaxed, the “males can be very possessive and protective of the females.”

Scully recommends staying at least 50 m away from the bighorn sheep.
