
Two arrested in Kelowna after police spot them in stolen truck
Two people were arrested in Kelowna after they were spotted by police inside of a stolen truck.
The arrest happened on Sept. 24 when members of the Kelowna RCMP Target Team noticed the vehicle, which was reported stolen from within the city on Sept. 13, according to an RCMP media release.
A man and a woman were arrested while the truck was stopped in a parking lot at the intersection of Gordon Drive and KLO Road. Police found stolen items during the search of the truck and at a nearby campground were a second stolen vehicle recovered.
Dawn Chouinard, 37, from Kelowna appeared in court facing three charges, including two for possession of stolen property, RCMP said. She was released with a future court date.
Clinton Krilow, 27, from Edmonton was charged with numerous offences including possession of stolen property, operate a conveyance while prohibited and breach of probation, RCMP said. He was also released and is scheduled to appear court at a later date.
