B.C. Conservation Officers cracking the whip on bad behaviour in the bush this weekend

It’s the first long weekend of hunting season and following the rules in the bush is extra important in Kamloops and the Okanagan as the B.C. Conservation Officer Service are beefing up enforcement.

“Hunting or fishing this Thanksgiving long weekend?” asked the Conservation Officer Service on their Facebook page. “Don’t be surprised if you run into a Conservation Officer.”

Outdoorsmen are reminded to understand provincial wildlife laws before embarking upon an adventure.

“COs are conducting road checks and patrols throughout B.C. to ensure our environment, fish and wildlife resources are protected.”

Members of the public can report any violations or suspicions by calling the Report All Poachers and Polluters line at 877-952-7277.
