Trial jumper back before judge
KAMLOOPS – A Kamloops man is back in custody after he went AWOL just days before the end of his trial in a Kamloops home invasion case.
Kamloops RCMP arrested Joadth Anderson, 29, yesterday after a warrant was issued March 13 by Kamloops Supreme Court Justice Lauri Ann Fenlon.
Anderson was being tried along with Travis Kelly and James Paulin on several charges including unlawful confinement and assault with a weapon for a Jan. 23 2013, home invasion in the 1000 block of Kemano St.
Of the three, only Anderson wasn't held in custody, but not anymore. Bail was revoked and he will join his co-accused to hear Fenlon's decision. She opted to continue the trial in his absence and is expected to decide next week.
