iN PHOTOS: Thompson-Okanagan residents capture northern lights
Kamloops and Okanagan residents captured photos of the aurora borealis light show over the long weekend.

A geomagnetic storm caused by solar flare energy has caused northern lights, or aurora borealis, to be visible from further south than usual.

The geomagnetic storm is projected to continue until mid week.
If the skies are clear tonight, Okanagan residents may be treated to another beautiful light show.
