Masked robbers threatened Penticton drug store staff with bear spray

Staff at a drug store in Penticton were threatened with bear spray by two masked robbery suspects last night.

Officers were called to the robbery at around 10 p.m. yesterday, Oct. 19, at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 1301 Main Street, according to an RCMP media release.

A male and female suspect shoved their way into the store as the employees were closing for the night and threatened them with bear spray.

They got away with some merchandise and no one was physically hurt.

RCMP have released screen shots from surveillance video in the hope someone recognizes the suspects.
