THOMPSON-OKANAGAN — It's spring in the valleys, but the Coquihalla Highway is expected to get another 15 cm of snow by tomorrow morning.
From Hope to Merritt, snow is expected to be heavy today and tonight as a frontal system tracks over the Interior today, though snow is expected on most southern highway passes tonight.
Currently 255.4 cm of snow is on the ground at the Coquihalla Summit weather station at the Boston Bar rest stop and heading north there are slippery sections and debris on the road being reported.
In town the entire region can expect sunshine and double-digit temperatures today with slightly cooler temperatures expected Wednesday along with at least a 60 per cent chance of rain. Temperatures will remain slightly below seasonal normals until the weekend when we should see just above normal temperatures once again.
