Three armed men broke into a home on the 800 block of Harvey Avenue at around 5:08 a.m. today, Nov. 9, where they assaulted two occupants who sustained minor injuries, according to an RCMP media release.
Officers learned the suspects had also broke into a second residence nearby, and although there were occupants inside that residence, no one was injured, RCMP said.
“This was not a random incident and all parties are known to one another,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Lobb said in the release.
The suspects were located by police with the help of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team. Three three men and two women were arrested without incident.
The men are currently in police custody pending further investigation and the women have been released without charges at this time, RCMP said.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the RCMP's robbery unit.
