Vernon law office hit by suspected arson attack
A Vernon law office has been vandalized in what appears to have been an effort to set the building on fire.
A member of staff at DuMoulin Boskovich LLP discovered graffiti and a broken window when arriving at work at the law office located at 3009 28 St., Nov. 5.
"Inside the business, staff found some discarded material that is considered suspicious and indicates the person responsible for the damage may have intended to cause a fire," Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media liaison officer Const. Chris Terleski said in an email.
Police have not said what the material was, but a Vernon Matters report said a toilet paper roll soaked in some sort of accelerant was thrown through the window.
Police are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone with any information to contact Const. Soomal at the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP on 250-545-7171.
