Woman assaulted, robbed by suspect hiding in vehicle: Kamloops RCMP

A woman was assaulted and robbed by a man who was hiding in the back seat of her vehicle earlier this week.

Police are looking for witnesses to the incident that took place in the 1500 block of Summit Drive at around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, according to an RCMP media release.

The woman entered her vehicle and was assaulted and robbed by the suspect, who stole her wallet and cell phone before running southbound on Summit Drive.

Officers with a police dog patrolled the area.

“The cell phone was located, but the suspect remains at large,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn in the release.

The suspect was described as a slim male and 5’10" tall. He was wearing a black mask, dark pants, black sweater and gloves.

Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2021-39518.
