Heavy snowfall warning for Coquihalla Highway: Environment Canada
A heavy snowfall warning has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt with up to 30 centimetres expected to fall by noon on Tuesday.
That highway is closed indefinitely because of the slides that hammered it last week.
The snowfall warning, issued by Environment Canada, does not say how much snow might fall from Merritt to Kamloops or Merritt to Kelowna.

The Environment Canada forecast doesn’t call for any appreciable amounts of precipitation in the valley bottoms for the rest of the week but another “atmospheric river” is expected to hit the Lower Mainland on Thursday.
It was an atmospheric river that brought the heavy rainfall that triggered the catastrophic slides and flooding last week.
At 12:30 p.m. today, Nov. 22, Environment Canada will give a technical briefing on what the latest atmospheric river might look like.
