
COVID-19 cases climb to 101 in Interior Health
After some declines in daily COVID cases in recent days, the case count went the other way in the past 24 hours with 101 new cases recorded in the Interior Health region and 368 in the province as a whole.
There were 90 new cases in the Fraser Health region, 88 on Vancouver Island, 40 in Northern Health and 48 in Vancouver Coastal, according to a news release issued by the Province of B.C. today, Dec. 2.
There were five more deaths but none in the Interior Health region, bringing the provincial total to 2,345.
There are 3,020 active cases with 284 B.C. residents in hospital, of which 97 are in intensive care.
The vaccination rate for those aged 12 and over with at least one dose is unchanged at 91.2% as is the 87.9% of B.C. residents who have two doses. There are 10% of B.C. residents who have received a third dose.
