Teens in trouble for flipping Smart Car

KELOWNA – If you saw a group of teenagers flip a Smart Car in the parking lot of the Rutland Arena Thursday night, the RCMP would like to talk to you.

Police say a group of young people flipped the Smart Fortwo onto its side just before 11 p.m.

It caused extensive damage to the vehicle.

Two teenagers were caught by the officers, but they weren’t charged. They were handed over to their parents.

Police have seized the vehicle for forensic analysis.

Some citizens in the area helped the police find the suspects, but when investigators returned to get more information, the witnesses were gone.

The RCMP would like those witnesses, or anyone else that can help with the investigation, to give them a call.
