KAMLOOPS — A bait car left by Kamloops RCMP on the North Shore last night led officers to the 31-year-old male who activated it, early this morning.
Cpl. Cheryl Bush says the bait car was left overnight Sunday on the North Shore and at 4 a.m. Monday the car was activated. The vehicle was tracked down and the suspect fled on foot just before officers arrived.
A suspect was identified to police during the investigation and the man, who is well known to RCMP, was apprehended a short distance away. He was set to appear in court this afternoon on charges related to the stolen vehicle.
