Kelowna Rockets edge Giants in OT

VANCOUVER – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 4-3 in overtime on Friday night in Vancouver opening up a weekend double-header against the Giants with a win.

Madison Bowey blasted home his 17th goal of the season on a power play to give the Rockets the win, improving Kelowna to 52-13-5-1 on the season.

Leon Draisaitl had an assist on the play, his fourth point of the night as he led the Rockets offense with a goal and three assists.

Tyson Baillie scored his 37th of the season and Chance Braid added his 13th for the Rockets.

Michael Herringer earned the win in net. Shots were 26-26 in the game.

The Rockets and Giants meet again Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.

The Rockets host the first two games of the WHL playoffs March 27 and 28.
