PENTICTON – After a series of resignations,Tourism Penticton completes its search for new staff with the addition of new chair, Max Picton.
“As someone who has grown up here, I have a strong sense of community and good understanding of the stakeholders who’ve played an important role in making Penticton such an outstanding year-round destination,” Picton said in a press release.
Picton is a local businessman, co-owner of Barefoot Beach Resort and recipient of young entrepreneurial awards for his work in the community. He will also fill the Penticton Indian Band appointed seat, joining the 11 other volunteer board members.
His responsibilities are effective immediately.
Tourism Penticton is still looking to fill the role of Executive Director.
