Salmon Arm man missing with daughters arrested in Ontario

A Salmon Arm man that went missing more than two weeks ago with his two daughters has been arrested in Ontario.

The RCMP has said that Caleb Gerbrandt, 40, has been arrested and the wellbeing of his daughters has been confirmed.

Gerbrandt, who has been charged with sexual interference and sexual assault on a minor, disappeared from Salmon Arm, Jan. 21. His 14- and 13-year-old daughters were with him.

Police said at the time that the daughters were supposed to be staying with their grandparents.

The RCMP doesn't say whereabouts in Ontario Gerbrandt was arrested but confirms he will be returned to B.C. to face the charges before him.

No other information was provided by the RCMP.
