Kamloops woman wins top prize of $25K on scratch ticket

An excited Kamloops resident woke the house up early this morning after discovering she had won $25,000 on a scratch and win lottery ticket.

Shari Swanson scored the top prize of $25,000 from BCLC’s Crossword Scratch & Win game, according to a media release issued today, Feb. 9.

“I scanned it on the lotto app and discovered it was the top prize,” Swanson said in the release. “I woke everyone up and they thought something was wrong.

“It’s exciting… kind of surreal. I just enjoy playing the crossword tickets and winning a little bit here and there keeps it exciting.”

Swanson purchased her ticket from London Drugs on Lansdowne Street in Kamloops.
